Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX-V:ACT), a leading provider of advanced wireless communication, productivity and safety systems, today announced that an existing customer has ordered an additional ActiveMine™ tracking and communication system. This is the third ActiveMine™ purchase from this customer.

The system is currently being installed and should be fully operational by the end of April. The new mine has a 20 year reserve of coal.

The new mine will share tracking and communications information with an adjacent mine, which had previously deployed ActiveMine™. This will allow workers to move between both mines using the same phones, which will also act as tracking devices. This feature adds to efficiency and reduces costs, and will give dispatchers accurate knowledge of worker locations in or out of both mines.

Active Control Technology is supplying a hybrid system that utilizes both wireless and fiber. ActiveMine’s™ unique ability to provide wired, fiber, or wireless systems in almost any combination made this a relatively easy decision for the customer.
