TORONTO, January 14, 2010 – Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX-V:ACT), a leading provider of advanced wireless communication, productivity and safety systems, is pleased to announce that Mr Paul R. Jaggard has agreed to join its Board of Directors. Mr. Jaggard will become Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Paul R. Jaggard, FCA, CFP, CIMA, is a Chartered Accountant and is President and founder of Vinceṛ Capital Management Inc., a Multi-Family Office serving the broadly based succession and wealth management needs of high net-worth families in Southern Ontario. Prior to establishing Vinceṛ in July 2000, Mr. Jaggard was a Senior Partner with Ernst & Young, LLP, Chartered Accountants, and had been with that firm and its predecessors for 27 years. From 2000 to the end of 2003 Mr. Jaggard served as Chair of the Canadian Mental Health Implementation Task Force for Central South Ontario and was charged with the responsibility of re-engineering the delivery of mental health services and reported to the Minister of Health. He has served as a director of a number of public corporations including RAND Worldwide and Brainhunter. Paul also volunteers his leadership, talents and time to a number of community endeavours.
