Active Control Technology Inc. (ACT) is involved in the design, manufacture and marketing of wireless and fiber network solutions for mine communications, the commercial security and access control industries, as well as the design and integration of wireless battery equipped mobile platforms.

ACT has three product lines:

• ActiveMine™, a fully integrated wireless and/or fiber communications and locating technology for underground coal mines
• ActiveSecure™, a family of wireless products for the access control industry
• PowerCart™, an industry leading designer of wireless mobile platforms.
